The TR5 is constructed of materials chosen only to improve the quality, not cut corners and cost of materials. The stainless steel exterior and stainless 18/10 AISI 304 quality boiler speaks for itself.  The cylindrical shape of the boiler is extremely efficient with no cold spots which means the heating element does not work harder than necessary, more efficient electrically compared to most steam cleaners that use square or rectangular designed boilers, 

The TR5 offers such features as an industrial quality detachable hose which allows easier storage and comfort in knowing that your machine is perfectly safe to pull along as you clean. This design is far more solid and durable than other outdated designs with attached hoses. Other features include a pressure regulator knob allowing you to adjust the amount of steam/pressure output for your specific cleaning task. When operating the machine, it is simple and easy to use. The TR 5 will heat up normally in 9 minutes with regular tap water. When heated, there is a separate button on the machine to push when ready to clean. The machine emits very little dripping  as some more expensive models can, due to the design. The recovery of pressure in the boiler is quick due to 1700 watts and  functionally sized boiler. We choose only to provide 3 Quart or less capacity boilers or Continuous Fill models as their performance will be far more consistent and less time consuming. Larger 4 - 5 liter boilers lack efficiency.

Let me tell you what a few pills of VIVARIN and this vapor thing can do! Oh my god!  I mean... It cleans everything right? And it¹s so convenient. No mess, no bubbles, anyhow... I am sure they ( my kids) got the hint cause one look at them holding this wand, and they ran upstairs yelling for mom! Whom I must say I impressed very much showing her my new vapor skills !
I fixed the poop on the couch! (won¹t get into that one, and YES it¹s from our 16 month old. Although my wife may say lies just to get at me!) Ok, perhaps I should have just left that all out. But you have been so helpful, I feel as if we know each other already! Anyhow, getting back to mystery! Not that you are not busy or anything, and yes I do have one other question, and yes these pills are still in full effect! So that¹s how truck drivers do it!
 Where was I? Oh yeah! So I just went nuts tonight, BUT! I didn¹t know what to do when I was done! Is it ok to leave the water in there? How do I know when it¹s ran out? Do I drain it?

Do Iwait for the temperature to drop all the way to drain? Or do I do like those idiots at the freeway with the overheated car and try to open the radiator with a towel and run away ? OK I know what you are saying, please do not write to us anymore while on
that much caffeine, but hey your product as well as your customer service just ROCKS!

 cannot believe we did without this steamer for so long! The results are amazing. Look at the difference in the color of our kitchen floor grout. We had tried scrubbing pads, all kinds of cleaning solutions not to mention tons of time to try to get it clean. The steam cleaner took about 6 years of dirt, grime and grease that was trapped in the grout and restored it immediately!!
We love the TR 5 steamer and the quality of it and the attachments. 
If you ever need a personal recommendation for your product, I would be more than glad to give it (not to mention photos-seeing is believing sometimes).

We primarily bought the vapor cleaner because I'm allergic to almost everything! We've used the TR 5 to steam our pillows, mattresses, drapery, wood floors, carpeting and it has done a great job. Asthma attacks cut down along with cleaning time. I absolutely love the TR 5 and rank it up there with a shop vac as far as all around usefulness around the house! I would highly recommend it to others. Like I said in the other email, I cannot believe I lived without the TR 5 for so long! I LOVE my Steam Vapor Cleaner! Definitely 5 Star. It has exceeded my expectations. I had seen the mini steam cleaners on TV and at the store and knew I wanted more power. I had no idea how much power the TR 5 was capable of. I also didn't expect the length of time it could be used with one fill up of water. I have not run out of water during a single cleaning yet. Add that to the speedy steam pressure recovery time makes this cleaner worth every penny. 

I have cleaned my grout to perfection. I use it to wash my floors, kitchen and bathrooms each week. It has cleaned several puppy accidents on my carpeting. I also dropped my powder rouge on a light color carpet. The more you try to dab it up and rub it out, the worse it gets. The vapor cleaner"vaporized" the spots. The It is terrific on jewelry and diamonds. Just finished cleaning my old comfortable shoes into decent enough condition to take on vacation - Last time I went on a trip I bought new shoes...My feet were killing me for days. I steam the wrinkles in my clothing. I also steamed my table cloth.. I have always hated ironing it and it came out perfectly. I hung it over the shower door and steamed it from one end to the other...Steam and then smooth and tug straight out with your hands - Goodbye iron. 
I can't think of a single way to improve it. Thank you so much for everything. Never thought I would enjoy cleaning!

Hello,

I am very impressed with my TR5, which I received a few months ago. I purchase it for home use and occasional work use. I am a contractor and rehab and rent houses. Your TR5 is a very solid tool and valued part of my arsenal.

My first project was cleaning our own kitchen sheet vinyl fooring, you know the kind, with the little pits everywhere that collect dirt. I hit that floor with the TR5 and I have never seen it that clean: the pit dirt is gone!

Second project: cleaning the grout in our tile kitchen counters. An amazing amount of grime came off that tile and grout.

Third project: Clean our tile shower. It's white tile with gray grout, that had turned white due to soap scum we could not remove. The TR5 literally blasted that scum away. And here's the kicker: the shower seems to stay cleaner now. I have to assume that it's because the tile and grout are truly clean, and new soap is not as attracted to it. 

Okay, now to the reason I feel compelled to write. I just finished using the TR5 to clean the walls and ceiling in a kitchen remodel I'm currently working on. This was a good cleaning and prep for paint. I used one section of the wand, together with the triangle scrubber. I locked the head so that it would not rotate and stuck a red scotch brite pad to the bristles. Then I went for it. This tool makes a miserable job tolerable. The wand and head are built well and provide excellent leverage. I can scrub and sand a 4' x 4' area in no time, then just rinse the scotch brite and hit the wall/ceiling with a clean sponge rinse, and presto! The best thing, and I mean the very best thing is virtually no dust! And dirt is softened with the steam, so cleaning happens quickly. I spray the surface first with a white vinegar solution (Cheap!) or (at the most) Jasco's liquid rinse free green TSP solution. I feel confident that the surfaces are very clean and new paint will bond well. I also hit moldings with the steam, then scrubbed them with the scotch brite. Done.

There's more. I also needed to remove some wallpaper. I thought, Okay, go for it with the steamer. I scored the paper with one of those Paper Tiger tools, sprayed it with solution, and let it sit a few minutes. Then hit it with the TR5. That wallpaper gave in easily. I even got lower levels of paper off that the previous paper hangers must have given up on. I had received a quote from a wallpaper stripping company to strip that area for about $275. And they use chemical stripper!

I have to say, I have many more ideas for using this tool. With some minor modifications, you guys could offer a great set of tools to the trade. This tool is very well made, and I won't buy any other kind. The best thing of all, is no use (or very limited use) of chemicals, which is just fantastic. 

One other thing. I noticed that one of your competitors states that "Their Competitor's" tool blows circuits. I have never had the TR5 trip a breaker yet, but I do try to plug it into a 20 amp circuit.

Thanks Vapor Clean. My only regret is not getting the continous use model. For me, it would be worth it.

We love our TR5! We run a small cattery and also are owned by our large parrots. It’s a chore to keep up after them! We’ve used the TR5 on just about every surface in our house and it’s performed wonderfully. It
cleans our wood floors spotlessly, is great for upholstery, spot cleans with ease, removes scent, and sterilizes surfaces for us. We have old pine wood floors, and it does a great job of cleaning the cracks between the floorboards. We’ve also used it to steam drapes (no ironing!). And our favorite item is how well it cleans and sterilizes the bird cages.
Because of its ability to produce vapor that will kill all bacteria,
fungi, and even viruses, it’s great for disinfecting kitchens and
bathrooms, as well as for use on pillows and beds should you have
problems with allergies.

We’re thrilled about how well this device cleans and disinfects! We can’t imagine life without it! It works so well, we didn’t even need to contact Customer Support with any questions. We also loved the microfiber towels that shipped with the product – they’re indispensable!

In June, we moved into our beautiful new home. I searched diligently for environmentally safe cleaning solutions for the bathrooms and kitchen. This was of a particular concern because the harsh chemicals that seemed to work in my previous home just were not safe or smart for the new home's septic system (nor for our health!). 

I had long been interested in steam cleaners but always read that the consumer reviews were iffy at best. When I found your website and realized how far the residential technology had come, I was on a mission to convince my husband that this was the soloution we needed. He was a little skeptical but trusted me. 

We received the TR5 very promptly and it became integrated into my regular weekly cleaning routine immediately. In fact, it cleans and controls mildew so well, I only need to fire it up once every two to three weeks. But it's always there like my secret ace in the hole if and when I need it. I like to refer to it as my beefy German housefrau in the closet!

This is one of those household tools that pays for itself $100 at a time. For instance, my first objective with the TR5 was to attack mold/mildew issues in the bathrooms. Our master bathroom is carpeted wall to wall with the same carpet extending from the bedroom. I mention this because the previous owners had allowed drippage from the shower door to accumulate over an 8 x 5 inch carpeted area outside of the shower. This area was blackened from mold/mildew which commercial carpet steam cleaning could not even begin to budge (we tried!). While attacking the shower with the vapor cleaner, I pulled an old cotton dishcloth around the wand attachment and went to town on the carpet mold/mildew stain. Within minutes, the dishcloth was black and the carpet looked like it never had an issue.

If we had not been able to save an otherwise excellent carpet this way, we would have had to replace the carpet altogether. The TR5 practically paid for itself in one day.

My husband also likes to watch in admiration as blow away crud that we didn't even know existed from the crevices of plumbing fixtures and around sinks. We both were in awe of the ease (and safety) of cleaning the oven as the superheated vapor just melted away the unavoidable burnt-on spills and splatters.

I love having housecleaning heft and power as close as the hall closet. And I only need to feed the housefrau distilled water and she seems to stay happy!

I really enjoy my new TR5. It works amazingly well, especially for steam cleaning floors. So quick and easy. I recently had to replace the sealant around my shower. I removed the caulking and then used the steam cleaner to clean the remaining residue and mould from where I wanted to re-caulk. I let it dry a couple days and then resealed it. Looks great and I’m confident that steam cleaning the area will help to prevent the recurrence of mold. My only disappointment is in the user manual. It obviously was originally in Italian and then poorly translated. The user manual does not include basic use instructions, etc. Customer service was extremely helpful. I was emailed with regular updates on the status of my order. A great relief when ordering things on the internet. Although I’m certain if I called for instructions they would be most helpful, it is not convenient to have to do so. I’d rather have complete use instructions. Overall the machine has met and exceeded my expectations and I’m very happy I bought the TR5

I am very pleased with my Vapor cleaner, I primarily got it for cleaning the mildew from the shower, it has done a reasonable job, but the floor grout cleaning was exceptional,
 for me was the best method to clean stains on the carpet, The unit does do a great job but i found using the vapour clean in conjunction with scrubbing brush with detergent made it much more even.

Dear Vapor Clean Products,

I am extremely happy with how well the TR 5 is built. So many products today seem to be compromised for the sake of someone's bottom line. The TR 5 is almost too good! We have a problem in a bathroom where the grout was never sealed. The mildew was getting harder and harder to keep
away. We have tried every cleaner and method we could find, but 
have had only temporary good results at best.
The TR 5 flushed out so much mildew from deep within the grout that at first it looked worse. Then it hit me; this is why it kept coming back. We would clean the top, but the mildew just grew back from deeper inside. With the TR 5, I was able to flush out and/or kill most of it.
As for new uses, I think my first non-cleaning application will be to
use the TR 5 as a source of steam for bending wood.

Dear Vapor Clean,
We are very satisfied with our TR 5. We purchased this product for a specific, and perhaps unique, purpose - to clean our Eclectus Parrott's (Pablo) bird cage and perch. 
Parrott's in general are very susceptible to germs and it is recommended that their cages be steam cleaned as the slightest residue can cause serious illness to the bird, possibly resulting in death. With the steam cleaner, we can be assured that his cage is germ free after cleaning. The same applies to his perch which is made of iron wood. The perch contains knot holes which are virtually impossible to clean utilizing conventional means. Additionally, the vapor cleaner has been invaluable in cleaning mirrors and glass shower surfaces. I would highly recommend your product to anyone for its effectiveness, convenience and affordability.

I purchased the TR5 vapor cleaner in December and love it!I had 
used a steam cleaner in my home and school for 2 years and was 
pretty happy with the results until it quit working. I was going 
to purchase another one at the store until I started researching 
different brands that were available online. I was looking for a 
cleaner that would withstand the daily use I give it. I run a 
preschool in my home and use my cleaner throughout the house at 
least once a day or more. My husband and I were impressed with the 
TR5. I liked the large stainless steel base because it won't rust 
and it holds enough water to finish several jobs at one time. 
Other models have a smaller capacity and have to be cooled down 
between water fillings. My husband looked at the water pressure 
and control that could be regulated. I also looked at the 
temperature because I need to keep my house and classroom free of germs (table tops, door handles, toliets and more). 
 I found the TR5 capable of cleaning our tile grout 
beautifully. I had tried several other products as well as my 
previous cleaner and none came close to cleaning the dirt.

Unique uses? I cleaned mold off a friends bathroom wallpaper and ceiling by blowing up the wallpaper quickly so it wouldn't peel. Then I put a towel over the brush and got most the mold off her ceiling. 

What was your overall satisfaction level? Yes, especially on the tile. I'm very happy we got it...even if we only clean the tile and window sills, it's worth it! I still don't see how you clean the windows!

I've had my TR5 for a month now, and it is fabulous. It does everything your website said it would. I've contacted you 3 times, and you've been wonderfully helpful and answered every question I had.
I almost bought a Hoover product but was concerned that it would only do my tile floors and had to be refilled with water every 15 minutes.... My husband encouraged me to check out this product on the internet, and that's how I found Vapor Clean Products. I remembered a couple of years ago my neighbor told me how useful and impressive her small steam cleaner was but she had purchased it from the Home Shopping Network and wanted to buy a larger, more substantial model. After reading all the good things written about your products, I had to have a TR5. What a great decision! Even my skeptical husband is impressed with the TR5.
I live in a 3000 sq. ft. condo that also has about 1200 sq. ft. of balconies. All floors are tiled, and after 5 years, the grout was pretty dirty. Not anymore! It's as if all the tile is brand new again. The small amount of vapor released in the cleansing process is easily gathered up in an old towel. Living on the top floor of the condo, it's a big "No, No" to let water run down onto to lower floors. No problem with the TR5 - I can be a 'good neighbor' and keep my balcony tile and grout clean.
Next major job the TR5 helped me with was my balcony furniture. Last time I tackled the task, it took over 2 gal. of bleach to get rid of the mildew, dirt, etc. It was a big job my husband had to help me with. This time, the TR5 got rid of the "uck" on my outside cushioned, PVC furniture in a breeze - no bleach, no rinsing, just an easy pass with my TR5 and an old washcloth. And, I did the job myself!
I assembled the equipment myself, figured out the instructions myself, and have a totally amazed husband. He even had me demonstrate my TR5 for our Condo's cleaning crew who haven't been able to get the entrance hall's grout clean no matter what they did or used. I got it clean with the TR5.

Hello. I purchased the TR-5 steam cleaners on Sept 20, 2004. 
First I want to say what a great product the TR-5 is. I researched online all the competitors out there and I felt yours was the best for the price. I've used it every single day since I received it. My wife and I have 4 birds. 2 Eclectus parrots and 2 cockatiels. The TR-5 has been great cleaning the cages. As you know you cannot clean with any chemicals if you have birds especially parrot types. Their lungs are extremely sensitive to chemicals. The Tr-5 has been a work saver.

I am very happy with the machine I purchased. It works great. Basically I use this machine to clean my parrot's cage. It does a great job. I also use it to clean the shower. Again it does a fantastic job of getting rid of the soap scum and other unknowns that grow in a shower stall.

I have been using it to do auto detailing and it has been a workhorse. I was worried initially that it would run out of steam before I finished my work, but it just keeps on going! I'm so glad I found you guys before I paid $800 for one of these.
I will give the machine a 4.5 out of 5. I would have given it a 5 except there is an orange o-ring and a washer that keeps on coming off. Maybe you can send me a spare o-ring and washer? Please let me know what you can do. One unique thing I noticed with using a steamer to clean the car's interioris that it significantly reduces the amount of odor in car. It smells a lot fresher. One key to de-odorizing the car is to steam the vents which can have a musty smell. I put the steamer on low-medium and spray steam using the wand directly into each vent.I think your service is a 5. You have always called me back when I had questions. Keep up the good work.

It is very nice to hear from you, actually, I love this machine. It has been great. I purchase it to mainly clean the grout in my floors and bathrooms. It melts the dirt right off. Without a lot of hard work. Yes it takes time. We ordered it on the internet. I also have tried your carpet spot cleaner. I do like it and I want to order two bottles of carpet details. I do not get home from work in time to call and order, so how can I get 2 bottles of the Carpet Details?

Hi. I am very satisfied with my TR5. I use it mainly for our bathrooms, since it can sterilize as it cleans. My father is handicapped, so it is a valuable asset in keeping his environment clean. Thank you for a great product.

Our house is all in Sautillo Tile and the TR 5 is the best thing we have found to remove wax build up, kitchen grease stains and pet urine stains in the grout.

I have not told how much my wife likes the machine. She has blasted a couple of bathrooms with great results on both the tile and hard water deposits on the shower doors. This may have saved me a bathroom remodel this summer, then again maybe not. But I was surprised at the job it did on our kitchen eating area picture windows. They haven't been that clear in years.

I waited a while to respond, until I had time to fully use the product. I have tried it on many, many items in /out and around my house. It has been great! No one should think that this is a "snap-your-finger", instant miracle. But DARN close. I have used it to clean windows, stoves, fridges. Walls, floors, chairs and computers. I like how it is not chemicals that clean, but super-heated steam, with power! I was not expecting all of this from so reasonable a cost unit. You are correct! I researched cleaning, and all sort of steam cleaners, for 5 months until I was ready to buy. I would make the same decision today! I purchased the TR5 vapor cleaner in December and love it!I had used a steam cleaner in my home and school for 2 years and was pretty happy with the results until it quit working. I was going 
to purchase another one at the store until I started researching different brands that were available online. I was looking for a cleaner that would withstand the daily use I give it. I run a 
preschool in my home and use my cleaner throughout the house at least once a day or more. My husband and I were impressed with the 
TR5. I liked the large stainless steel base because it won't rust and it holds enough water to finish several jobs at one time. Other models have a smaller capacity and have to be cooled down 
between water fillings. My husband looked at the water pressure and control that could be regulated. I also looked at the temperature because I need to keep my house and classroom free of germs (table tops, door handles, toliets and more). 
  I found the TR5 capable of cleaning our tile grout 
beautifully. I had tried several other products as well as my previous cleaner and none came close to cleaning the dirt.

 We have a very large kitchen
floor and wore out the brushes that came with the
machine before we could complete the job. What we did
was very impressive and we also cleaned our large
kitchen windows with the machine and loved the
results! They never looked so good!
We can see that we will be using the TR 5 for many
jobs around the house, such as our acrylic tub
surround and tile walls in the stall shower. It will
make the job much easier and keep things cleaner in the future..

THEN, YESTERDAY (SATURDAY) I TOOK IT ALL OUT OF THE BOX - FILLED THE BOILER
WITH DISTILLED WATER ('CAUSE WE HAD SOME) - LET IT HEAT UP TO TEMPERATURE -
AND THEN BECAUSE MY WIFE (AND I!) WERE SOOOOO IMPRESSED WITH WHAT THIS THING CAN DO, I SPENT THE ENTIRE WEEKEND (YESTERDAY AND TODAY - I JUST FINISHED -
IT'S 6:30 PM ON SUNDAY!) CLEANING THE KITCHEN - I MEAN EVERYTHING - THE REFRIGERATOR - THE CABINETS (FORMICA) - THE STOVE - THE COUNTERTOP - THE ALUMINUM WINDOWS - AND THEN THE FLOOR TILE GROUT! OH, THE GROUT - THAT
NASTY GROUT - THAT STINKING GROUT! THAT PAIN IN THE A-- GROUT.

I am writing to you to let you know how much I love my Vapor Cleaner, 
it is such a pleasure to use. I have a lot of ceramic tile flooring and a bad back. but using the Vapor Cleaner makes it so easy for me because there is no need for scrubbing! I also love it for disinfecting my bathrooms. My only complaint is that one of the caps of the wheels keeps falling off, but that is such a minor problem compared to the satisfaction I have gotten from 
my machine. I know I will continue to find other great ways of using my machine.

I wanted to let everyone know the TR5 is great. Cleaning aluminum windows frames is a breeze and it makes quick work of the dirt in the tracks. It also, makes quick work of paint on the frames. Soap scum, it really cleans, like it was made for it. You know the stuff that builds up on glass shower doors and sink fixtures, and it makes the chrome look like new.

Once in awhile on heavy grease build up I need to use some cleanser like maybe Fantastic or 409. The TR5 just melts the grease build up, but in order to keep the grease liquefied long enough to wipe up you need the cleanser. I go easy on things like appliance emblems, plastics or other things susceptible to damage by heat until I dial in the TR5 to the right temperature.

The TR5 is great, great, great. The pressurized jet steam, just like stated, at 65 psi does, believe me, get every crack and crevasse clean. I highly recommend it. Plus, the people at vapor clean are the best. You got a question call them. They are very informative and helpful.

I researched vapor cleaners for quite some time before purchasing. I had three main reasons for purchasing a vapor cleaner - my son has allergies/asthma, I have two bird cages that needed cleaning without harmful chemicals, and I just got a puppy.

The machine has met and exceeded my expectations.

I have not found any unique uses yet. It took me a while to learn how to use the machine. It did not come with any instructions/hints on cleaning different surfaces and which attachments to use. I definitely could have used some help in this area. I still am not sure sometimes which is the best attachment, steam setting, how the microfiber towel should be attached, etc. I guess it's one of those figure it out as you go along processes.

Customer service was helpful and very informed.

I am very satisfied with the vapor cleaner I chose. I know there are other units avaviable for much more money. I feel this is the best value for the dollar. I also can see a big difference in how long counters, etc actually stay clean. There is no longer the residual from a cleaning product to attract dust, etc. So everything stays cleaner longer. Bird cages are so easy to clean, they also stay cleaner longer. I have lots of plants in my house, the leaves get dusty. I use the vapor/steam to dust the leaves and it also gives them some needed moisture. The plants look a lot better now, and there's no dust anymore on the leaves.
I am looking forward to trying the carpet spot removal product.
