While we have addressed this in our Steam Cleaners 101 section for many years that certainly temperature and pressure will lessen and moisture content will increase. 

It has come up recently as a re-seller Vapor Chief claims that "we do not lose pressure and have too much water condensation" in their longer hoses based on the premise that other machines may simply be "poorly engineered" or their machines or hoses are extraordinarily different? Well, both of those statements quite incorrect.The fact is basic science cannot be adjusted. The temperature will decrease the farther the steam must travel from the source (boiler), and the moisture content will rise. Simple science, drier steam is not as visible to the eye as wetter steam. As for poorly designed.....since Vapor Chief uses all of the same components, accessories and hoses as our Pro5 series possibly it is better to stick with science. Statements that hoses that are capable of overcoming this loss is unfounded and simply not true.

We have always offered a selection of longer hoses for most of our machines if needed for specific uses that customers may require, overall 8-10 feet is plenty and provides optimum specs and you don't trip over them!
